Current Pc

i7-8700k, Z370 Aorus gaming 7, 3080ti, 32GB Ram. Playing at 1440p 165 Refresh Rate.

Games I play are Starfield, Red dead redemption 2, F1 23, CoD, and Forza Motorsport

Looking at buying at scan.co.uk cheapest i think.

 

So I'm looking at the 7800x3d but not sure what motherboard to pair it with I did look at the one in the video Linus did on the 7800x3d but not sure.

Also looking at Ram DDR5 

Attached is what I was thinking about getting

only one thing I would change. get this CL28 RAM as this is the lowest latency on DDR5 currently G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-5600 CL28 Memory (F5-5600J2834F16GX2-TZ5NR) - PCPartPicker

Everything else looks good tho

The old RAM yeah. If theyre 3200C16 or better we can work with that using Raptor Lake platform instead. With some tweaks they can perform pretty well on CPU demanding title and they would also be better in most productivity workload that arent cache-heavy. In terms of power consumption considering youre in the UK, we can definitely get Z series chipset board in this price range and thus fully unlock undervolting and power limit capabilities.

I haven’t got a clue to be honest. 
I did think about getting the i7-13700k

but thought the 7800x3d might be better due to me not using my pc for anything really apart from gaming
