Hello,

I am on an odd situation and any help/guidance will be super appreciated.

The problem

I have a PC that I use as my 'home server'. The system was working perfectly fine until recently when I did an update on the OS (PoP_OS) and after applying `sudo apt-get upgrade` everything went down. The system all the sudden shut down and will not come back up. When I press the power button, I just hear a short beep the fans run for ~ 5-10 seconds and everything shuts down.

What I have tried

I tried going into the BIOS and boot on safe mode but the system would not boot at all!

I thought something was messed up with the BIOS (for some reason) so I unplugged everything and re-flashed the Bios). No luck, the system still would just be on for a few seconds and shut down.

I took all the RAM sticks out to see if it was that and I found that when I took all the sticks out the system still won't POST but the fans will turn until I manually push the power button. Then, I tried one RAM at the time and the same thing as the beginning would happened (just turn the fans a few seconds and turn back off). I tried clearing the CMOS and still no luck.

I have another PC (working perfectly fine) and tried to use one of the RAM sticks from there to see if maybe the sticks got messed up, but I have the same result.

Where I am

I now have no idea if is the motherboard that is failing or what should I try next.  Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated.

THANK YOU!
