Odd Crashing behaviour

Hi, 

 

I bought a HP prebuilt off of Amazon for gaming purposes. 

However, when I play games (mainly Valorant and recently Tomb Raider) a weird thing happens.

So I would be playing and then suddenly my screens would turn black, then all my fans would go crazy and run at full speed for either a few seconds until the whole computer restarts, or they would run for a very long time and I would need to go to the wall outlet and turn the PC plug off and then turn it back on again.

 

After that my computer would restart normally and I wouldn't have any error codes or anything to reference, I would also like to mention that the GPU or CPU aren't getting extremely hot and this happens with a lot of games, whether it be Valorant (in menu and in game) and tomb raider (no matter the settings). This happens very regularly and I was wondering if there's anyone else that came across a fix for this or am I better off sending this in to HP in hopes of them fixing it.

 

The specs are -

HP Omen 30L

AMD Ryzen 7 5800x

32GB  DDR4 RAM

RTX 3080

HP branded unknown motherboard

HP branded 800W 80 plus GOLD PSU.

Yes there are no available motherboard Bios Updates,

There are no available GPU updates

There are no available chipset driver updates from AMD.

i'm running windows 10.

Which Bios version do you have?
