Corsair TX650M and RM850 modular cables interchangeable?

Go to solution Solved by GuiltySpark_,

TX-M and RM both have Type 4 PCIe cables.

I have two PCs with those two power supplies from Corsair.
TX650M and RM850.

I want to add a RTX 3060 to the TX650M but I am missing the PCI-e cable (8-pin).

I have the cable from the RM850.

Are the two cables interchangeable?
Is there somewhere that I could check to make sure?

I tried here but I couldn't find the TX650: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/s/psu-cable-compatibility

Thank you!

If it isn't mentioned there, then, it is safe to assume the answer is no

What's the point of trying to give useless generic "advice", when OP has provided all the info needed for a proper answer for their situation? And giving the wrong answer at that?

Yes. The RM from 2013, 2019 and 2021 all use the same cables, except for the 24 pin on the 2013 one, and they are compatible with the TXM.

Corsair's legacy PSU cable compatibility list lets you check which cables are compatible with which PSUs.

Thank you for your help @GuiltySpark_ & @seon123

Indeed the cable was compatible and worked just fine.

(Checked with a multimeter to be certain).

Thank you again!
