Does history on YouTube Android not work for anyone else?

It's been going on for at least a week, but anything watched on my phone does not show up in my history, not does the jump back in feature function. Could this be an issue with pihole? It's just really annoying to me cause it makes recommended videos mostly things I have already seen. Also shorts are absolutely broken, I scrolled through 20 shorts 3 different times across 3 days and on average 14-16 shorts I had already seen, and 10 of those have been there for over a week. It's become not-so-mildly infuriating turning into frustration.

I remember reading about pihole causing this issue, but I never experienced it myself 'cause I disabled youtube's history, so I don't know if it's the actual issue.

Try whitelisting "s.youtube.com"
