First PC build

reteeek

Budget (including currency): £1000 - £1150 (excluding peripherals) - GBP

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly video games, nothing brand new. I want to replay some of the games I have played from the mid2000s to 2015. Don't care much about playing new games on Ultra settings however, I'd like to try some of them and wouldn't mind medium or low settings on brand-new games.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I need everything from tools to display as I'm starting fresh. I only want to spend around £1000 on the working PC itself excluding everything else.

Does this look good, what issues could arise?
Thank you!

It seems fine, but in my opinion:

- I would spend a little bit less in the motherboard or perhaps looks for one with more PCI-E slots

- I would put another NVME to use as a bootdrive for my OS + the Software I use. Recently my Samsung Evo 970 failed, and thanks god it was just the SO and few software, I have a harddrive for important file and a 1TB NVME for games

That set of RAM you chose is going to be a bottleneck. You want either DDR4 3200 or DDR4 3600.

Youll want to undervolt the card to match the 4060Ti power consumption but this would perform a neck better than it.

Idk how much you want to spend on peripherals, but I made this list for ya.

Better to go with solid B550 motherboard, and a RTX 3060 will play those kinds of games just fine too.
