pfsense router help

Hello there! I'm trying to install pfsense on a Qotom-Q730G5-S08 Barebone Mini PC Intel Quad Core Celeron J4105 mini pc. I put 8GB of DDR4 SODIMM in, and a 128GB Dogfish mSATA SSD. I downloaded pfsense and put it on a usb stick using Rufus. Plugged everything in and.... nothing. I get power leds on the mini pc and ssd but no video output. Can someone tell me what I've done wrong here? Thanks for your time!

Do you get even a bootup screen or BIOS screen? So I went through something similar when setting up my NUC for pfsense. As it turned out my "premium" RAM wasn't compatible with my NUC out of the box, and it wouldn't boot until I did a BIOS update. Luckily I had some other SODIMMs handy to boot with temporarily to update with.

No I get zero video output at all. There's one hdmi port and I've tried it on 3 different monitors with 2 different hdmi cables and get no signal. The leds suggest it's booted but with no video output I'm not sure. The ram I used was an old 8gb stick by sk hynix from an old laptop. Ddr4-2400 I believe. Nothing fancy. I do have an older 4gb stick that I haven't tried but I shall try switching and see if that helps.
