RAM usage allocation

Hello, I just realised that my task manager is reading really low numbers for the RAM, but a high % usage of it at the same time...

Why is it that my 16GB installed RAM only has 6GB usable?

You've got a ton of instances of Chrome and tabs open, of course your RAM usage is like tha. Probably some other software/bloatware running in the background too. close all and try again.

Available ram is calculated from Standby and Free memory ( blue parts of the bar graph).

You have 10GB used by chrome/other open apps/services (green part of the bar graph).

Windows is showing 16Gb is available to the system total.

Oh, I see. Its a misunderstanding from my end. I understood 6GB usable/available as A TOTAL of 6GB on the PC. But the reality is that it's actually 6GB LEFT for usage out of the total 16GB, as 10GB is already in use.

Wow chrome uses heaps... Just a bunch of tabs draining away at RAM. Good to know.
