Cpu or ram broken?

Maxi92

Hi. I get the screen from beneath. I know the usb issue but asides from that the motherboard seems to recognized my cpu as 7800x3d. Also I am using the on board graphic slot. Now here is the thing I am using anew motherboard and it lights up the eazy debug lights for cpu and ram. So could it be that they are broken? IMG-20230606-WA0006.thumb.jpeg.efcf233b0fd2e65d9fe84b4c3c1d3027.jpeg

Can you give us a full rundown of your system specs? More info the better to diagnose the problem.

Is this a brand new build? First time booting up? Or did you change bios settings? What have you been doing with the system prior to this problem?

@Fred CastellumLike I said by now I have a new motherboard so what's on the picture is not my problem anymore. My problem is this now. I have a new motherboard and I can't get past the ram and cpu debug lights. But with the old motherboard I could get past them yet I had that problem from the screen which tells me a usb port is broken. My question now is could it have been that the cpu and ram were broken instead of the motherboard. I think it's unlikely because the old motherboard did recognized them both. Specs are now : msi b650 tomahawk, 7800x3d and 6000mhz g skill trident z, I have not connected my rtx 4090 rog strix yet cause I fear if something is broken it might affect the gpu aswell.

It could be the motherboard, cpu or the ram in this case, impossible to tell without swapping out parts to test. Try booting with just one stick of ram, if that stick doesn't work try the other one, and try to use slot 0 on the motherboard for the ram. If none of that works, then you'll have to keep going by the process of elimination with other parts...

Strange your prior problem was a USB over current issue, do you have another keyboard you can try? Probably isn't the issue but doesn't hurt to test.
