specs are:
r5 1600af
asus b450m-k
2 hdd(1tb+500gb)
2 ssd (120gb+120gb)
evga gtx 970 ftw
transcend 8gb ddr4 2666
1080p 75hz samsung tn monitor
fsp hyper-k 750w psu

You can try it, but I'd suggest again it, and your probably much better off just putting swap on the drive other than the boot drive.

Hi everyone,

I need some guidance regarding creating a full backup of my operating system, boot files, personal files, and applications, and setting up a RAID 0 configuration between disk 0 and disk 1. My goal is to restore the backup onto the RAID 0 array by essentially making a RAID 0 between local disk C and local disk D. I would appreciate any advice or suggestions on the following queries:

1. Creating a Full Backup:
I want to ensure that I have a comprehensive backup of my OS, boot files, personal files, and applications. Could anyone recommend a reliable method or software to perform this backup?

2. Setting Up RAID 0:
I would like to create a RAID 0 configuration between disk 0 (where my operating system resides) and disk 1. How can I achieve this in the most effective way? Are there any precautions or compatibility considerations I should keep in mind?

3. Restoring OS onto RAID 0:
Is it possible to copy the contents of local disk C (which contains the Windows 11 OS) to another HDD and then follow the steps to copy it back to the RAID 0 array? Would this method work instead of performing a full backup and restore?

4. Better Alternatives:
If there are any alternative methods or better practices to achieve my goal of creating a RAID 0 configuration and restoring the operating system, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or insights.

Apologies for any language errors in my post. English is not my native language. Thank you in advance for your assistance and valuable input!

Also used ChatGPT to edit my faults in the eng post ::) thanks

You do not want to use a RAID 0 for your boot drive. SSDs (especially NVME SSDs) are so fast that it's unnecessary, and if you have one drive failure in a RAID then you lose all the data in the RAID.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

i just hv 2 ssds so i wanted to raid 0 them to make them also works as virtual memory cause i hv only 8gb of ram and ssds speeds are 200mb write 500mb read so if i managed to merge them it will go to 1gb so that will make the virtual memory faster thats my main purpos

Getting more ram is a much better way to help here.

I don't think raid 0 will help in this case much, as pagefile/swap usage needs low latency and running raid doesn't really help much there.

Also you nevermentionied the hardware your using, that would probably help her.e
