Computer Freezing Please Help

Go to solution Solved by johnno23,

well it survived 6 years which is ok for such a cheaply built PSU.

About the most positive thing about the brand is the price but to get such a price they cut a lot of corners and the components used are bargain basement bulk purchase.

You now have a nice PC with a good GPU treat yourself to a decent PSU 850w from a brand as Corsair and get a 10 year warranty.

Just got a new GPU installed (gigabyte gtx 3090) and 16 more gigs of ddr4 RAM 3200 speed. Maybe once or twice a day, the picture on my monitors freeze, the fans on my gpu stop spinning and then after about 3 minutes my PC restarts. There is a buzzing coming from my PC by that was happening with my old gpu (1080), That's why I upgraded, but I wasn't experiencing crashes then. Im lost on what the issue could be and I have no Idea where the noise is coming from. Also higher performance AAA games cause my PC to reboot after about an hour of playing. GPU temps dont get higher than 85c. CPU temps are cool as well.

My specs are
Apevia 800W PSU 6 years old
Cooler master AIO
Intel i9 10850k
OCPC X3Treme Aura RGB DDR4 16GB Kit (2X8GB) x2
Samsung 980 pro m.2 2tb
WD 2tb HDD
asus prime z590-a MB

Apevia 800W

from a quick google, this power supply may be actual complete shyte.. so i'll put my bet on that if this started after getting a more power hungry GPU.
