I would appreciate advice on this, I bought a monitor on amazon being the AOC Gaming 24G2SPU and it was listed as having FreeSync Premium, I have received it and it has G-Sync on the monitors OSD but no option for FreeSync.

In Adrenalin I can only select 'Adaptive sync compatible' and not 'FreeSync premium / AMD FreeSync' like I have been able to with other monitors. Is this an issue at all? I have a 6650xt for reference.

Thanks for any advice on this as i'm stressing if to send it back or not as it's not as advertised.

That display on AOC's site lists GSync w/ AdaptiveSync. So you should be fine to enable FreeSync. Is there an option for AdaptiveSync? Can you not enable FreeSync in Adrenaline? A quick look at reviews show to enabled Adaptive Sync and you should be fine.

Quite a lot about that display in the VRR section of this review. https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/aoc-24g2spu-24g2sp/#VRR_Variable_Refresh_Rate_technology

Thank you for your speedy response I really appreciate it! If I turn on G-Sync on the monitors OSD I can turn on 'Adaptive Sync Compatible' in Adrenalin, is this the same as FreeSync Premium? Thank you again.

According to the review, you should just need to enable AdaptiveSync in the monitors OSD and then AdaptiveSync compatible in the OSD.

Yes, GSync and Freesync are implementations of the AdaptiveSync standard.
