Budget (including currency): $2000 AUD

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Rimworld, BeamNG.Drive, MW2, Fortnite. As well as Cricut Design Space and some light photoshop

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): looking to hopefully include a monitor and wired keyboard and mouse.

Preferably 1440p capable (I don't really need or want 4k)

Would like Full ATX size, some RGB without going over the top, and not fussed over cooling (AIO or Air cooled)

I was looking at these specs, however some input would be fantastic as I haven't done this before. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KZjZhk

I currently have a pre-built Acer Predator PC with 24GB ram, I7 8th gen CPU and a Nvidea 1050 2GB GPU, with 250GB SSD and 1TB HDD, so anything will probably be an improvement.

Hi... I have been building PCs for 30 years so I would really like to help you out here. Sorry I didn't see this yesterday. First off, I'm sorry that you live in Australia because PC parts are 2x-3x as much there as they are here in the USA. Your list was all over the place, no offense. I'm going to list some of the things that were wrong about it but please don't take this as bad, I just want to point out what was wrong so that you can better understand what should be used.

1. You had a 7800X3D for a CPU but only picked a RTX 3060 as the GPU. This GPU is way out of this CPUs league and shouldn't be anywhere near each other it will cause a huge Bottleneck and the GPU will always struggle to keep up with the CPU to the point of one day frying the GPU. So I went with a sensible pairing of a Ryzen 5 5600X and an RX 6760XT. This combo will work wonders together and will keep you going for years to come.

2. The RAM you had picked was too unstable for Ryzen and Intel right now. The preferred speeds are 6000mhz CL30-CL32.

3. Your Storage needed to be fixed. The platform you chose is a Gen4-5 system and yet you picked a Gen3 M.2 and a spinning HDD. In 2023 no one uses a spinning HDD anymore unless they need a mass of storage that exceeds M.2 and 2.5in SATA drives. But M.2 is the current "Standard" and trust me if you used a HDD today and try and install a game to it and try and run the game off of it then you wouldn't be happy, it's way too slow these days. Plus SATA is becoming obsolete too and HDD has been for a few years now.

4. You had said that you wanted a Full ATX system but you picked a "SFX" Small Form Factor PSU. I put in a ATX PSU.

5. Please do not Pay over anything over $35 for Windows. Now to install Windows it's free. It has some limitations but they can be removed with a Product Key and you can find them online for anywhere between $25-$35 on sites like G2A.com, VIP-SCDKey (new Users get a 20% discount on first purchase or use code "SKGS" for 25% off) to get your Key.

6. The Monitor you selected is not available in your Country so I had to pick another one.

7. Without going too low on the CPU & GPU I had to go over your budget by $165, If you were buying from the USA or the UK then prices would be much better and you could severely upgrade this platform.

This Build I have for you will last you about 6-8 years and if need be you can always upgrade the CPU to a 5800X3D & the GPU all the way up to a Radeon RX 7900XTX.

If you have any questions please ask. You can always DM me and I'll give you my business email if you need to chat.
