Hello everyone need some advise from someone more experienced than me in tech. I’d like to buy this laptop “https://www.currys.co.uk/products/msi-raider-ge78-hx-17-gaming-laptop-intel-core-i9-rtx-4090-2-tb-ssd-10248498.html”, but I do not like the screen it comes with. I am a 3d environment artist and absolutely need a 4K screen. I was thinking to buy it anyway and have the screen replaced. I have built several computers before and feel confident enough to do this myself, but still wanted some advise from someone more experienced than me on the matter before going down this road. Also if you guys have suggestions on specific screen models and could provide some links to some reliable retailers would be great. Thank you very much for your help.

Surely there has to be a laptop out there with these specs and a 4k screen?

I did find a couple, but the price difference is 1-2k more. Is outside my budget unfortunately.

Might have to settle for a slightly lower spec laptop then.  If you are confident you can change display then that might be a route you can go as you say so yourself, finding a compatible screen that will work might be difficult however.. aand if something goes wrong you sit there with a broken laptop with no warranty.
