Upgrade storage M.2

Hey there, I'm looking to upgrade/replace my HDD storage but I'm not sure if my motherboard is compatible or if this is the ideal storage.

Attatched here is my current system and I have my eye on this: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB M.2 SSD

 

Any advice?

That board has an M.2 key and will work fine with the Samsung SSD you listed.

Yes, your motherboard has an M.2 slot. Best practice is usually to consult your motherboard's manual for the installation procedure.

 

It's not difficult, but some boards can be different, especially when heat spreaders are involved.

I already have one installed so will the other one still have full speed and features?

And is the one i found a good match or is there a better alternative?
