I'd get a 4tb nvme drive. Why not, faster and similar price.
I wouldn't run raid here. SSDs are pretty relible, and bckups will keep your data safe in case of failure or issues(id get an external hdd for backups). Yea its not realtime, but the chance of a failure is pretty low.
