Sim racing compatibility

So it will be a long time before I do this, if I actually do it, but I’m considering getting into sim racing. I was just wondering if the Moza GS GT wheel was compatible with a wheel base from another company (thinking of DD Pro from Fanatec). I’m pretty sure they are, but I don’t know exactly what I would need. Also, should I save a bit of money and go for the R9 from Moza, which would remove any compatibility issues, or is the dd pro good, even at a higher price?
