Ram Compatibility

I want to upgrade to 64GB of RAM and I currently have 2 Sk Hynix HMA82GU6DJR8N-XN and at the end of it it says, "NO AC." Online I can only find matching RAM labeled "NO AD." Would this discrepancy even matter when upgrading? P.S. Please don't lecture me on build choices.

What cpu? Ryzen hates quad rank though intel should be ok ish with quad rank, just gotta run abit more imc volt

 

Its likely that theres no diff between the no ac and no ad versions, its still hma82gu6djr8n-xn so still 3200c22 bin hynix 8gbit djr in dual rank (double sided), the model number code thingy tells you all you need to know about the rams, and the -xn or whatever tells you what bin you are getting, iirc vk is 2666 and xn is 3200

 

 

Buying oem rams is definitely a very very odd choice unless you are an overclocker like me that is searching for specific ics on the cheap (used <2666 ddr4 is dirt cheap nowadays), and djr is indeed a very good ic for overclocking, clocks higher than micron rev e, well into the 5000+ range where some better rev e would top out around 5200-5333, but this is oem stuff so not that good but pretty decent

 

For stock config at a snails pace 3200 quad rank is fine even on ryzen i think

How do you even scavange ram?

Btw could you send a pic of both the dimms you wanna get and the current dimms in your system? Make sure the model code thingy is visible so i can tell if theyre the same thing or not, cause as long as both are hma82gu6djr8n they are the same thing regardless of any differences anywhere else, even if they have different binning like 2666 and 3200 theyll both run at 4000+ with ease assuming you got a cpu and board that can handle that
