Hey everyone! I want to start by saying im not tech savie and i know almost nothing about building pcs or running diagnostics to solve any problems thats why i thought id ask here.

I have a pretty decent pc My specs are:

CPU - Ryzen 9 3900X

GPU - Radeon 6950XT

MOBO - Asus B450

RAM - 32 GIG DDR4 3400MHz

PSU - Corsair 650

Storage - Samsung 970 EVO 1 TB

I play on 3440x1440 Resolution i have all the lastest drivers installed.

The problem im having is excruciating lag and screen tear. I play mostly the game Destiny 2 but i can barley play it on low settings.

I would like to add that i recently upgraded from a 2080TI to the 6950, i used DDU to get rid of all old drivers aswell.

Thank you for any advice you can give.

First, just make sure things are clean inside the PC, that's the easiest thing I can say to improve performance. Next, open up Task Manager and make sure it's expanded out, then sort by your dedicated graphics card (GPU). Next to that would be GPU engine and your dedicated card is usually GPU 1. If there's multiple programs using it at once while you're gaming, that could be the problem. I would say use Performance Monitor but I'm not well versed in that.

Sorry if I disappoint, I'm just an otter
