So ive heard lots of conflicting information about what is supported for the z97 boards and due to exams i didnt really spend much time finding out the truth, the general idea is that the z97 boards either support haswell cpus or the haswell refreshed cpus only, i have no idea, or is it that broadwell is for the z97 boards but that seems unlickly as it isnt even out yet. 

 

 

So the question is, what is supported on the Z97 boards?

 

 

Side question, what upgrades(chipset features) are new with Z97?

Z97 supports haswell, haswell RE and broadwell
