SSD Slow write speeds.

I have a kingston hyper x 3k 240GB ssd and I've just ran a benchmark and my read speeds were 472.2MB/s but my writes were quite slow in comparison at only 232.4MB/s. Is this just a consequence of filling up my SSD(180GB is used up), would deleting some files increase the write speed?

Lifetime reads: 4.825 TB

Lifetime writes: 6.785 TB

It wouldn't, SSD speeds are always lower than they promise you.

Well I tested the write speeds when I first got it and the write speed was around 410MB/s, I've had the SSD for a year now

Well, that is not all true. All of my SSD's is running the exact speed as promised.

i'm afraid you got fooled by kingston marketing department, because those speeds only apply, when data is compressible. With non compressible data, speeds are pretty much what you're getting.
