Sadly reseating the CPU didn't work I talked to the company that put it together and they had me run a program to test different parts and they said it was the CPU Cooler? but would a faulty CPU Cooler cause Freezing during Boot Up but not during Gaming?

faulty cooler? Maybe the cooler was giving it temp spikes that wasnt being recorded properly. maybe

Hey Guys bit of a Non techie guy here could do with some help

My PC has been Freezing on Start up and sometimes when it finishes start up and I have finished putting in my password it will crash then as well

this happens multiple times each time forcing me to Hold down the Power button until it turns off

After several times it will finally not freeze and work fine I can even play my Steam Games for hours so I'm not sure what's wrong if it was a Hardware fault surely it would crash when starting any video game

I wondered if the problem was too many applications automatically starting themselves when I log in but it continued even after I changed those programs not to start without me clicking on them

I've ran sfc /scannow to check Windows it said it repaired damage but whatever was wrong seemed to not be connected to my issues since that continued I even Reinstalled my recent Invidia driver update with GeForce Experience but that did nothing

Does anyone have any advice on what the issue could be?

Thanks

I'll give that a try but surely that would only be a problem if I had recently mounted the CPU I've had this PC for a little under a year surely if it wasn't mounted properly this would have been a problem sooner?

But will give it a go when I have a few moments free

I had that issue and when i remounted and made sure all my motherboard drivers are up to date. including AMD chipset, no issues after
