Hello everyone, I am going to be building a gaming pc, I will also be doing some video recording and rendering! I would like your opinion on these parts:

Main Components:

MOBO - MSI Z97 Gaming 7 Motherboard - $265

Reason: I have heard some pretty good things about this board and it has some alright connections on it! If there is better for around the same price please let me know!

GPU - EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti Superclocked ACX 3GB - $879

Reason: I have heard some amazing stuff about this GPU and people have said it can run most games on ultra settings which is just what I want! I think it is really good and I like the looks of it!

CPU - Intel Core i7 4770K - $385

Reason: I know a i5 is good but I've heard i7 has better performance

RAM - Corsair Vengeance CML16GX3M2A1600C9 16GB DDR3 - $209

Reason: Corsair Vengeance is really good RAM, I know that for a fact. I went for 16GB because I've heard that's good for video editing and rendering!

PSU - Seasonic G-650 80Plus Gold 650W OEM - $149

Reason: Someone suggested this one to me and said it's better than the FSP Aurum Series.

CASE - NZXT Phantom 410 Mid Tower Case Black with Orange - $129

Reason: I think this case looks amazing! It also seems to have a decent amount of space in it.

ODD - LG 12X BD-R Blu-Ray DVD Combo - $69

Everything's going Blu-Ray these days so I need a Blu-Ray drive!

SSD - Crucial M500 240GB - $149

I've heard these are good correct me if I'm wrong. This will also be my boot drive.

HDD - Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM001 - $99

Reason: I can't afford a western digital black with my budget.

FAN - Corsair Hydro Series H80i CPU Cooler - $135

Reason: I had this suggested to me by someone. let me know if there's a fan around the same price that's better.

Extras:

Mouse - Razer DeathAdder 2013 - $52

Reason: I love Razer and I've used this mouse before and I really like it.

Keyboard - Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 Elite - $139

Reason: I think this keyboard looks amazing and I like having backlit keys, macro keys and gaming mode!

OS - Windows 7 Professional 64bit - $165

Reason: I like windows 7 more than windows 8.

Lighting - NZXT Sleeved LED Cable 200cm Red - $25

Reason: I want my computer to look amazing!

Also could you please answer these questions:

- Are these components good?

- Would I be able to run games with high settings?

- Would I be getting what I pay for?

- Is building a computer hard?

- Would 650W be enough power?

- Is there another website that ships to Australia and is cheaper?

Thank you so much for reading this! I really hope to get some positive feedback!

Note: I'm buying this from PCCG!

snip

If you'll be gaming and really nothing else (video editing, streaming perhaps) an i5 will do great and you won't notice the difference whether you'd pick an i7 or an i5.

Also, RAM is RAM. Corsair vengeance isn't better than any other ram, Vengeance is also overpriced but fine if you actually care about inside looks and color scheme

Your cooler is 135 dollars? Please take a look at the h100i (if it fits) or at the antec h20 650 kuhler (Which I own myself and Is great for it's price, I believe 70 dollars) (EDIT: NVM I just noticed you live in australia)

Answer on your questions:

You can run any game on ultra with atleast 60 fps, depending on your resolution of course

You're getting what you pay for, although choosing a 780ti over a 780 isn't that benefitial, unless you're willing to pay another 200-300 dollars for 5-8% performance increase, the price/performance here is much worse

Same goes for the i7

650w is fine

Future & Youtube advice, don't show off with your PC or the price of it
