Docking Station Inquiry

Hello!

 

Appreciate any feedback, have a silly question. What would be a good docking station to support my 4k ultra wide screen at 144hz and have multiple usbs inputs for Razer amd laptop?

 

I understand thunderbolt is not an option with the razer and looking online I see many marketed 4k at 60hz. Wondering if there is something out there for me?

What kind of connection are you using? HDMI, Displayport or VGA?

Docking stations are rated by bandwidth (USB3 is 5Gbit, TB4 is 40). So a dock that is capable of 2 1080p60 monitors can do 1 1440p60 

 

The reason you see 4Kp60 in pretty much all of them is because that is the maximum you can push over USB-C alt mode. Thunderbolt has it's own imposed limitations.

So if you want 4Kp144, the monitors MUST be Displayport 1.4 HBR3 and support DSC1.2.
