i think i will stick with the 3070ti for now, since for the 6900XT i will need a new power supply(850W min.), but i will definetly be removing the glass infront, since i dont rly care about looks

Smart move. That card calls for an 850w psu.  No reason whatsoever to gamble your system by going against manufactures recommended specs. When a psu goes it usually takes components with it.

yea, like i am not even comfortable with being at the minimum specs, like the 3070ti uses 650w i think(similar to the 6800) so i will still have 100w buffer with my 750w for some spikes that i heard happen when going for higher tier gpus(dont know if my qualifies for high tier, but better safe than sorry)

Be really carefull with the Arctic P12s. I got reccommended them as well, and i ended pulling them out again because they may hum at certain speeds. Mine did for sure.

It's a documented issue, although i don't know if they have fixed it since 2021.

https://www.igorslab.de/en/arctic-showdown-the-houses-fans-total-detail-analysis-arctic-p12-against-p14-and-humming-that-freezes-our-ears/4/

they fixed it with the P12 Max and A-RGB lines.Regular P12 still hum. I do recommend going P12 Max and an AMD 6000 series card, probably 6800xt

3070ti and 6800 do not use 650 watts. They work fine with a low power CPU on a 650 watt PSU, but that’s total system power draw. I recommend about 650-750 watts for a midrange setup like this.

DO NOT go with the 3070ti, go with a 6750xt to 6800xt. That 8GB VRAM is a massive bottleneck in games with the 3070ti. Even the 3070 doesn’t have enough vram for its core and the 3070ti is more powerful with the same amount of vram.

Fair enough 🙂

I just wanted to give OP a heads up.

Last time I got into a shouting match with someone who insisted that I was being unreasonable because I apparently could just avoid using the fanspeed in that spectrum...

mITX is awesome! I regret nothing (apart from when picking parts or have to do maintainance *cough*cough*)

oh ok, i thought that amd cards are often a hit or miss(at least in the beginning) and that the gtx card has raytracing that will be more important in the future and some other features that amd doesnt have. amd does have more vram ofc

AMD cards are much better than they used to be. The nividia GTX dosent have raytracing, RTX does. Nividia still has much better raytracing than AMD but I think the low vram of Nividia cards is a little bit of a deal breaker for a pc just for games with a budget like yours.

Edit: actually I don’t know your budget but I can guess off of the gpus you were thinking about getting.

right they don’t draw 650 watts, they just want a 650 watt or more PSU

u were saying that i should go with a 6750xt to 6800xt, but i am not sure which one of the amd cards is for the best.

i did read on the comparison and between the 6800 and the 6800xt is not much of a difference if i am under 4k, the 6800xt is also smth around 600euros whilst the 6800 is closer to 510euro

the 6750xt is certainly cheaper, but also has less vram and a bit less power

like my cpu takes smth between 70-80w, dont know about the other system components and if i read correctly, the 6800xt takes between 300-400w(different sources put it here or there), but i guess it could work

i also dont know if my cpu will bottleneck my gpu, since i am buying a fairly powerful gpu. additionally i am also a bit scared of the power spikes

that’s only really an issue with 3080-3090ti and to a lesser extent 6900xt-6950xt

Honestly with the 3600 I would get the 6700xt or 6750xt, whichever is cheaper, OR the 6800 non XT
