GPU Waterblock help

steeno78

Ok, so the build I want to look like:

7048_1000.webp.02bf3f436b9693538ccd35e6a05023c7.webp.99e8019f29ed0dc9d19ec58d54ed266e.webp

I've bought everything for the build except the GPU water block. I saw this https://www.aquatuning.co.uk/water-cooling/gpu-water-blocks/gpu-full-cover/fullsize/29719/alphacool-es-rtx-3080/3090-reference-copper/carbon-with-backplate

It is listed as being compatible with the Zotac Geforce RTX 3090 Trinity but I have the Zotac Geforce RTX 3090 Trinity OC.

both of these cards PCB look exactly the same as seen on:

https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/zotac-rtx-3090-trinity-oc.b8606

https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/zotac-rtx-3090-trinity.b7934

so does anyone know if this block will work on my OC 3090?

Trusting that TechPowerUp didn't just use the same picture for the sake of ease, it will work. It might run very slightly hotter than it would with the non OC 3090, but it would be such a slight difference that just a different thermal paste application on the gpu, or a better rad, better fans, etc. would make up the difference.

Awesome I've been fighting with myself over this for days now. I've already spent a small fortune on my pc and didn't want to spend a lot more, I saw the EK blocks were on a discount but they are sold out on the block. I don't want my pc looking like an 80s disco and would prefer minimum lights as possible. so this block would be ideal

Yes, nobody wants to get stuck in rainbow pukeville with their RGB, but ARGB is pretty much what all the rgb stuff is anymore and you can control the color config and whether they blink in anyway and you can always shut them off no matter what rgb they are. Theres always a way to mod it if necessary, so dont worry yourself too much about it.😉

Haha yeah, I guess so. just prefer my attention focused on what I'm doing on-screen rather than my pc trying to hypnotize me into loving unicorns and rainbows. Having the thing want me to slip into flairs and do some John Travolta moves lol
