What Caused BSOD?

i checked event log and say
Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation.
so it never made a dump file

and also get
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly

how can i work out what is causing this problem?

i worded it wrong in my post i already looked at event viewer and those are what showed up in there
i also just ran a memory test and
The Windows Memory Diagnostic tested the computer's memory and detected no errors

What error code? Also memory diagnostics won't find anything unless ram is totally dead

Install windows debug tools in the SDK and open up the crash log.  It should what caused the crash.  This may be a hardware fault or a driver.  If it is a hardware fault the error message would possibly keep changing.
