Play PS4 through PC.

Gurky

Hi all,

Maybe an odd one but is there a way to play PS4 OG one through PC and I don't mean just my monitor? I work at home so I game a lot but I want to play some PS games, I know I can plug in my PS4 so monitor and switch inputs but I'd love a way to do it where the PS4 it's own full screen so I can tap in and out to check work bits and answer calls.

The same way when you play a PC game it's just a tab out? In my head it's a HDMI input but as far as I know not a thing for PCs.

My only idea so far is Capture Card?

Ow okay then....

What's the latency/quality like for Remote play?

if you can find a particularly low input latency capture card you can pipe the signal into your computer and (with the camera app?) display it as windowed content.

i'm not well versed on the latency of vareous capture card brands, but if my sandberg "sort by price" USB HDMI capture card is anything to go by.. it might be good enough for gaming with a PCIe card.

Over wifi 100-200 is a normal range. Over 1gb/s cable around 50ms or less. Also depends on the quality

For RPGs and stuff there is some latency, maybe in the 100-150ms at most. Not suitable to play FPS games
