PC For MS Flight Sim

Budget (including currency): £1000  (GBP)

Country: United Kingdom

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): OS, peripherals, etc not needed

Background:

I've been in IT for years and have only ever designed my own system from scratch once and that was in 2016, since then I've added bits and pieces and upgraded but I'm kinda out of touch with the "gaming" scene now and what's "good" and what is not.

This machine is for a charity here in the UK where I volunteer my time.

Do you reckon the below parts list should suffice with a bit of future proofing?

Honestly for charity even basic office computers with modern-ish CPU from 5-8 years ago that youve spruced up with SSDs would influence a lot more people than 1 gaming rig. But if your heart is set, then here's what i wouldve built instead.

Urghh no...

2060 isn't worth even 150 Brit ruppees, get a 6700xt or better

5600 is okay but not great try to grab a 13400

CM hyper 212 isn't great as well but not even needed

With your limited budget you could start with only 16GB RAM and get more later

Better PSU would be great too

Thanks for the help, I'll take a look.

We basically just need one really good PC to run the flight simulator software on so we can progress their training.

Thanks for the guidance, I'll take your suggestions into account when I revise the build list.

As I say, been out of the gaming hardware market for a while so genuinely not sure what is/isn't good anymore 😄
