PC Not Powering On

Go to solution Solved by DIV1D3,

LOL When I unplug it the light comes on and everything, just no fans. WTF.

Hmmm, just check the I/O connectors to see if they are in correctly.

I noticed that my fans were plugged into the little fan connectors, but that was not plugged in to the actual R4 fan controller, so I powered my PC down and plugged it in. Now the whole thing won't start or even show any indication that it is receiving electricity. I did not change anything but plugging in the fan controller to the front panel.

What happened? I thought it could be a motherboard short, but the fan controller is in no way connected to the motherboard.

Thanks.

Maybe you bumped the I/O connectors and the on/off button connector isn't connected to the motherboard? Just try powering it up without the fan controller, there can't have be much that was done to prevent a startup.

The weird thing is that the motherboard power button lights up when it's receiving electricity, but now it's not. Maybe the fan controller is just doing something weird I'll try just unplugging it.

Yeh try without the controller, the front panel I/O should have a little light for if it doesn't power up, and I think another for something else (well at least with mine that is).

maybe your motherboard decided to take a dump.  JK, Try plug your fans back into the motherboard.
