Thermostat Help

My home currently has a separate furnace and AC unit that run on two different thermostats, which are placed in very different parts of the house temperature-wise. I'm looking for a solution where I can replace the existing thermostats with ones that would ideally communicate with each other and allow heating or cooling to be changed on either, but only 1 is connected to the AC and the other connected to the furnace. Any ideas?
