Dashcams

Hey all. I know there was a video a few months back about different dashcams, but just in case anythng has changed, I thought I'd ask your opinions:

I'm wondering what the best dashcam for my car is. I'd like to have one and have had one for a few years until my windshield got replaced and the guy who installed the new one broke the mount for my existing camera.

I was using the Nexar Pro since 2017/2018 or so, as I got it for free. Saw an ad on Instagram that was from them with a full rebate and I was pretty happy with it, especially since the cloud storage is $0. However, every time there's a major iOS version, something seems to break and until the last days of using the Pro, it just had constant issues connecting to my phone. The app would just never find it, even though I was on its WiFi network just fine. Had location issues too, and sometimes it would make the recording sound, but nothing ever was recorded.

Should I just get a newer Nexar camera or go for something different? Or even just get a replacement mount, which they (Nexar) don't sell. I don't need constant connectivity when I'm not in the car, as I live in a relatively safe area and my overnight parking spot is in an underground garage that you need a special FOB to get into. Thanks!

I use a 70mai Pro and I can recommend it.

As for something better, BlackBoxMyCar is a good YT channel that deals with that stuff.

Last time I looked into universal dashcams I came to the conclusion that the Viofo A119 Mini is probably one of the best ones. That's basically also what LTT recommended. But personally I wanted a better fitting dashcam for my car, for which I wouldn't have to run a cable. So I bought a FITCAMX (I know, dumb name lol) which fits replaces the lane keep assist sensor housing behind my mirror with one that integrates a dashcam.

Quality is good, but probably a little worse than the Viofo models. But if your car model is on their website it's something you should consider:
