So when I moved in with my dad I never realized how slow his internet was until I was here 24/7. So I told him to get a faster internet plan, and he bought the fastest we could in our area. But the internet speed stayed the same. Now I realized it's his router or modem. What is the best router and modem on the market?

Have you tried calling your ISP? It could be a limitation of ADSL/whatever youre using.

Here is our speed, my mom has faster speed and she lives in the country.

Whats the speed your ISP should be giving you? What are you paying for?

Idk what all my dad's tech guy did. I'll have to ask.

It could be that it was already running as fast as it can on the line you have, thats why the upgrade changed nothing. Make sure with your ISP that there is nothign wrong before you go and buy a new modem.

What do your neighbours get?

I cope with 1.3 Mbps every day and I'm supposed to be a web developer - I try to think of it as character building... I try... (at least I know I'm building fast sites!)

I know we can't get better as Talk-Talk said they could do broadband for us but couldn't in the end due to QoS... Y(f)uck.
