Need help with GPU upgrade

PoPet

Budget (including currency): ~400 USD

Country: Hungary

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming and some streaming, but mostly esport games @1080p with the most possible fps (Mostly R6S)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Im thinking on buying an RTX 3060 to upgrade from the 2060 that I have. I already got a Ryzen 5 3600XT w 16GB 3200Mhz CL16 RAM, is it good enough for the 3060, or I should upgrade my CPU too?

And one more question:
What GPUs the team red has that compare in performance with the 3060 around the same price? I'm not really intrested in all the RayTraced stuff, just the pure performance in gaming.

the 3600xt is good for a 3060 ti or 3070 at 1080p but I would actually get a 6700 xt. That does depend on your psu tho

Sorry forgot to put it in the post, 500W FSP, so i'm kinda limited around a card with ~160W TDP (thats what my 2060 draws and I had no issues so far at all), bought it like 3 years ago.

get a 6700 xt then. As good as a 3070 with none of the power spikes

Why are you upgrading?  What is your 2060 not doing?

You're looking at upgrading from your 2060 to (roughly) a 2070-2070 Super.  It's not a big step up.

Unless your current GPU is lacking something, you're going to be disappointed by the upgrade.

Will it run fine with that 500W?

A lot of those Esport games are CPU bound. If you're not getting the performance you'd like at 1080p, I'd look first at your CPU. 5800x3D are coming down in price, and your RAM kit is already good for it.

I'd look at the 6650 XT, RX 6700 XT, RX 6750 XT at that price point versus the RTX 3060. Availability of those can vary by region, so you might be SOL, but in the US, they're a far far better value at that price point. Although the RTX 2060 is still a capable card at 1080p and isn't gapped by the RTX 3060 by much.
