Budget (including currency): 3000 CAD

Country: canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: War hammer games and heavy 3d work loads

Other details; only gonna use a single 1080p monitor, brother want it to stay relevant for at least 4~5 years

(apparently the focus of the build is for gaming)

current part of his choosing;

AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D

NZXT Kraken X73 73.11 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler for cooling

msi mag b650 tomahawk wifi

g.skill tridentz5 (2x32g)

samsung 980 pro 2tb nvme

still looking around for a gpu

and a Corsair HX1200 Platinum 1200 W 80+ Platinum for PSU

(yes he know it's wait too much, and he still wants it) he game A LOT more for now until he start internship

I'll let others make the full suggestion, but does he game more then he 3D Renders? Because $3000 CAD for a 1080p gaming machine is absolutely absurdly over the top, however if he does rendering quite often then I could see it using parts perhaps certain parts may be better then others.

Keep in mind that I am sometimes wrong, so please correct me if you believe this is the case!

It would be helpful to know what 3D software is used.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

I asked him thrice and he said that he doesn't know since his school will only give him the access seed in about 8 month, but it for 3d simulation of electrical engineering and robotic

he told me he want it to stand the test of time for at least 4~5 years, I'll lower certain part if needed but right now this is what he settled on;

AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D

NZXT Kraken X73 73.11 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler for cooling

msi mag b650 tomahawk wifi

g.skill tridentz5 (2x32g)

Not a good choice of CPU, even for a gaming rig.

An overly expensive AIO.

Z5 memory is designed for Intel. A Neo kit would be more appropriate. Given educational use 64GB of memory seems excessive.

A 1200W PSU is way over needed capacity.

Given this, is there any point of suggesting something better?
