I just purchased a PNY RTX4090.  I am installing it into a Ryzen 7950x system with 32Gb RAM.  My power supply is a Corsair RM850x.  Unfortunately it only has two pcie 8 pin cables, each with two plugs for the GPU.

Would daisy chaining the two cables four 8 pin connectors to the 4090 and power limiting the GPU to 75% be safe to do?  I have ordered a cable mod but it will take some time to arrive.

Its fine, if you buy the official 12VHPWR cable it can be neater but that only uses two connectors on the PSU also.

The power limit is on the plugs at the GPU end, not the cable or PSU end.  The manufacturer will rate them accordingly whereas the GPU side has to meet the official PCIe specification.
