I know there have been others with CPU Overheating problems but I haven't seen any post for this specifically. I have an i7 13700KF and idle temps are around 40 C I have a Be Quiet! Dark rock Pro 4 cooler and right as soon as I open games such as Valorant or Overwatch it instantly overheats and goes to 100 C. I've taken off the cooler cleaned off old thermal paste put new thermal paste on, tried messing with fan curves, checked for driver updates/ Windows Updates as well. even did a clean boot since I know Vanguard Anti cheat has caused problems for others in the past. I have out of ideas on what to try but I can't play certain games without it instantly going to 100 C. I built the PF in January and this just randomly started happening.

can I see your clocks at idle and when you open a game also yeah it is normally quite hot if you want it to run cooler you can undervolt. (turning down the voltage until the PC crashes and then go slightly higher)

Zen4 and pretty much every intel CPU past 9th gen aims to clock as high as possible without throttling. So, its not "overheating" its just running hot. If your computer isnt shutting down abruptly or clocking below its base clock, there is nothing wrong.

It was doing it when you built it, you just didn't notice or check.

As said above, working as intended.  There are ways to bring the heat or voltage limit down though in BIOS.

can I see your clocks at idle and when you open a game also yeah it is normally quite hot if you want it to run cooler you can undervolt. (turning down the voltage until the PC crashes and then go slightly higher)

I hit 700W on an i5 with a NHD15

Also I'm 14 so please just confirm anything I say with someone more experienced

I've been using NZXT Cam since getting the PC built. It's never reported a higher temp that 74 C till now.

DDU install stable drivers(not latest). Google search stable drivers for alm pc parts and roll back.

Would like to explain how uninstalling graphics card drivers using DDU would help OP with a CPU that is running hot?

What I meant was for all parts not only the GPU. For CPU, motherboard, roll back I meant.

Do you have any clue about anything you are talking about? DDU literally stands for Display Driver Uninstaller. At best, it can uninstall audio drivers other than graphics card drivers. Updating or rolling back drivers will not help with a CPU that is running hot due to its boost behavior (which can be controlled in bios).
