CPU Overheating
13 minutes ago, Craigger said:I know there have been others with CPU Overheating problems but I haven't seen any post for this specifically. I have an i7 13700KF and idle temps are around 40 C I have a Be Quiet! Dark rock Pro 4 cooler and right as soon as I open games such as Valorant or Overwatch it instantly overheats and goes to 100 C. I've taken off the cooler cleaned off old thermal paste put new thermal paste on, tried messing with fan curves, checked for driver updates/ Windows Updates as well. even did a clean boot since I know Vanguard Anti cheat has caused problems for others in the past. I have out of ideas on what to try but I can't play certain games without it instantly going to 100 C. I built the PF in January and this just randomly started happening.
can I see your clocks at idle and when you open a game also yeah it is normally quite hot if you want it to run cooler you can undervolt. (turning down the voltage until the PC crashes and then go slightly higher)
