Thoughts on Corsair RMe PSUs? RM1000e vs RM1000x

I recently stumbled upon the Corsair RM1000e PSU, which is 40€ cheaper than the RM1000x, while searching for a PSU for my high-end PC build. I noticed that both PSUs are listed as A-Tier on the PSU Cultist list, with the RMe even having a Platinum Cybernetics badge, while the RMx has a Gold badge.

 

Is the RMx worth paying extra for, or should I go for the RMe and save some money?

The RMe series is built with worse quality capacitors and stuff, so is cheaper but it seems it still  performs quite well

Maybe it don't handle power spikes as well

Did you check the new Shift series ? Side connectors is really cool

Side-connectors dont matter to me, I have a dual chamber case.

Never cheap out on PSU. I tried the RM850e it had some weird noises. And went back to my old PSU. Might try Corsair again with the RMx shift series.
