i have a Thinkpad P1 here and i am troubleshooting it.

came in with a no post condition, only power cycling. swapped ram out and it booted to bios, and shut off a few minutes later and was back to a power cycle.

the system is killing ram sticks in DIMM A, system runs fine with a stick in DIMM B.

the bios was updated right before this began occuring, in Dec 2022 and the system sat since, attempting to change anything in bios fails, and does not save after reboot...

can the previous bios update be bad and cause the ram to fry?
