What should I get first?

Hey guys, I'm new here, just joined a few minutes ago and I don't know where to put this post so I'm just putting it here(sorry mods..) Basically, my setup now consists of an ASUS G75 with Sennheiser HD 558, Logitech G400s and Corsair Vengeance K70 and I want to get either a monitor or speaker. My laptop has a 1080p 17" TN panel and a shitty 2.1 speaker which does the job I guess but I want to upgrade both but I only have the budget for only 1 right now... so which one do you guys think I should prioritise first?

 

Oh yeah, I guess I should introduce myself for a bit. I'm a student living in Singapore and I'm very interested in computers(mainly hardware, not so much software).

Get  a better monitor, after all you have great headphones

Get a new monitor first. I prefer a quality display over quality audio, but it really depends on how you feel

Firstly, welcome to the forums.

 

Secondly, you already have a decent enough sound solution with the HD558's, so if it were up to me I'd prioritise the monitor over the speakers.

Id get sound since gsync is coming and its gonna change the world. I wouldnt wanna be buying a monitor without gsync and be kicking myself over it.

I'll be honest, I don't care about gsync.. also, it will be out of my price range so yeah...

A few months ago I'd have agreed, but seeing as Nvidia announced it too early, I don't think it'll be that big of a deal anymore. Also IPS panels won't have GSync for a year or two yet.
