At the moment I cannot run or download most games. I'm still using windows 10 as it says I do not meet the requirements "Your device is missing important security and quality fixes.". It often tries to update and ends cancelling and restarting a few times undoing the changes.

I want to do a clean install to windows 11 as I think it's a good place to start, will this cause problems? I'm also having alot of trouble figuring out what drivers & software I will need, the sites I go on offer me a million options and don't make it clear which is needed.

Specs:

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor

Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard

Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3600MHz (I think)

Samsung 970 Evo Plus

NVIDIA Founders Edition GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER

Corsair RM750 (2019) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

I know this is a bit of a stupid problem but I'm struggling and would appreciate any help.

Thanks!

Could you explain a bit more? Why is it that you are not able to run or download most games? What is stopping you? You don't need Windows 11 to run video games. Most video games work perfectly fine on Windows 10.

As for the upgrade to Windows 11. A quick glance makes me believe your hardware is supported. When you run the Windows 11 upgrade advisor, it will tell you what it is wrong. You might have to enable TPM in your system Bios. But other then that. You should be good. If you have trouble. You could share a screenshot of the results of the upgrade advisor.

When clean installing windows get your divers from your motherboard manufactures support page. For your motherboard that is here

https://www.asus.com/ca-en/motherboards-components/motherboards/tuf-gaming/tuf-gaming-x570-plus-wi-fi/helpdesk_download/?model2Name=TUF-GAMING-X570-PLUS-WI-FI

Minimum all you need are chipset, lan/wifi. Anything else is optional imo, only install it if you use it.

Graphis drivers get direct nvidia.com/drivers

The rest should be figured out by Windows update. Do not use sites that offer all in on driver update utils. They are all bullshit.

I believe there's an issue with my windows 10 files as it does say "Your device is missing important security and quality fixes". It struggles to download any blizzard game and right as it's finished installing and finalizing it gets stuck on a loop, asking for admin rights. When I launch games just before it seems to actually launch the application it just stops. Though some seem to still work, I haven't made a list of what does and what doesn't. Though as of right now CSGO is what does not work.

I did a lot of trouble shooting when I found I was unable to download and run most games to absolutely no effect and while I cannot say for sure what it is, this feels the most plausible and for my own sanity of cleaning my messy PC I though it was a 2-1 fix.
