I think you'll have to be more specific, including what major components and a model number that'll reduce the about decade of potential options that 'rm850' could encompass.

I think it should be fine, its a quality power supply, but I don't see any transient load testing on that model to reference. I've got a similar RM750 at home which powered by 3950x and 3070 build for a while until I got the 6900xt, which made me upgrade to 1000W.

ok good i only got a 5600 and 3060 (ye ik, its overkill but i'd rather overspend on psu). Thanks

I've learned to start looking in people's profiles, only recently became a frequent forums user on any platform.

Yes it handles it quite well as long as its the newer model. For very high power cards like a 3090 use separate cables for each plug.

upgrade for the future then, currently on a 3060 and was just wondering for an upgrade maybe in a years time
