Help. Fps problem.

I just installed a new gpu (gigabyte gtx 1080) but whenever I start a game all of a sudden my fps drops with every game not just one. Have any of you had this and if so what fixed it or is it even fixable?

Did you install Nvidia Game drivers yet?

Ye I downloaded the drivers and deleted the old ones already.

What GPU did you have before, and did it have stutters then?

Ehm I don't know the exact type but it was an amd radeon with 2 gigs vram and no stutters.

Download GPU-Z and check thermal for your GPU and CPU in the sensor tab.

I don't see thermal anywhere in there..

Stop use Ultra settings this GPU can't do that. Even it have power it can't do that due 8 Gb VRAM limitation anyway.
Even for High settings in most game 8 Gb VRAM is not enough anymore.

The what?? I never used Ultra settings it drops fps even at minimum..

What resolution you use ? This GPU as well can't do 4K in new games. This GPU old enough not support DLSS. What you expecting from that GPU in new games?

I tried 4 games all on diff settings and 1920x1080

To not have 1 fps and I tried old game like 2015-2020 not newer. I expect it to atleast do 60 fps my old gpu was from 2012 and it did better in these games.

That's the AMD iGPU. Are you sure the games are using the dGPU and not the iGPU?

Can u resize the window so it will show all sensors? 
Also take screenshot while the gpu is on load. Play game or something in the background.

This is what it looks like whilst gaming my game was at a steady 4 fps ;-;

so it isn't using your GPU.  that's your problem.
