Switch Lite Battery Issue

A friend of mine brought me their switch lite because they said that it was not powering on. I was busy during the day so I left it plugged into its charger. When I looked at it the next day it said it charged to 100% but after unplugging it the battery dropped to 5% in less than a minute. I plugged it back into the charger and just as quickly it rose back up to 100%. Never seen that happen before and was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue?
