Laptop GPUs AMD vs NVIDIA

I am looking for a gaming laptop and trying to be open to team red).

I think that I will need performance of about RTX 3060 Mobile.

(I am going to play Witcher 3/Cyberpunk/KSP 2).

What are AMD equivalents to RTX 3060 Mobile, are they better/worse than RTX 3060?

Are AMD laptop GPUs worth it in terms of performance/price/efficiency?

One issue with getting AMD GPU silicon in a laptop is that you don't have as many choices compared to all the options with Nvidia GPUs.

It's easier to get a machine spec'd with an AMD CPU and an Nvidia GPU though.

You can search and add other GPU's they have results for near the bottom of the page, but a 6600M - 6700M is the rough equivalent to the 3060

 

Problem with laptops is cooling and OEM power limits are really what determine performance more so than the actual listed spec.

For the models tested on this sheet for example, you can end up with a 6600M that outperforms a 6700M and 3060, or one that does far worse. There's too many variables tied into the laptop itself, that you're better off comparing specific machines in a certain price range, rather than GPU model alone.
