Hello fine ladies and gents. I'm currently looking to upgrade my system with some substantial changes, it's been a while since my last build/upgrade I would appreciate suggestions on what to change, add or remove. In regards to certain component I would like to keep future proofing in mind.

Budget (including currency): 1100 EUR (for remaining components)

Country: The Netherlands

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I currently have a lot of games that I cant really run smoothly, I would like to be able to run these, some examples include Civilization VI, GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, Dying Light 2, Borderlands 3, Spiderman: Miles Morales and preferably upcoming release as well (like say Spiderman 2)

Other details I would like to play my games on 1440p, 120fps, high/ultra settings. A lot of the parts for my build I already have, the CPU and GPU are my biggest uncertainties as a lot seems to have changed in regards to those over the past couple of years.

Notes for the parts:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D - This is one of the main areas where I don't really know what is good anymore, the 5800X3D was recommended to me by a friend.

Cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock 2 Black - Tried to find a not too pricey cooler which fits in my existing case.

Motherboard: MSI X470 GAMING PLUS ATX AM4 - This board I already own and use in my current system, I would like to reuse it since its not that old and I bought it with the intention of upgrading in the future.

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory - These sticks I already have, although feedback would still be welcome.

Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 - Already have this component sitting in a drawer, waiting to be installed.

GPU: XFX Speedster MERC 319 CORE Radeon RX 6800 XT 16 GB - Another component I don't really know much about anymore it seems, any and all help would be appreciated.

Case: NZXT S340 Elite - I already use this case and would like to reuse it since it was a present and it seems to be in fine condition.

PSU: Corsair RM850x (2021) 850 W 80+ Gold- lowest priced 80+ Gold - Managed to snag this from a friend who decided building a PC wasn't for him after all.

Case Fans: be quiet! Silent Wings 2, 120mm - I have two Silent Wings in my current build which I plan to reuse as well as two standard case fans that came with the NZXT S340 Elite.

Peripherals:

I own a 1080p monitor which I only use for video watching and side tasks. For my main monitor I'm using a 144hz 1440p Iiyama display which I'm quite content with, but I've never been able to utilize fully. The build would thus ideally be able to power both displays and have the capacity to run the games I mentioned preferably on high settings, 120 fps and 1440p resolution.

I hope I have given enough information to be able to help me. Thanks in advance for looking over it!

While I'd normally suggest a cheaper motherboard and nvme drive, there is no point here cause you already have them.

RX 6800 XT performs between the 3070 TI and 3080 10GB but at lower than 3070 TI prices. It's a decent value.

3200 CL16 is the sweat spot for DDR4 imo.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D is as powerful as you can go for gaming on AM4 and in terms of value it makes a decent amount of sense as your keeping your board.

So... no notes from me, seems good.

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.

your own build was 1300 eur so stuck to that price line-

https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/Qt3k2m

a few notes-

the SSD is not really a downgrade as gen 4 and 5 is only needed for people who need continues high bandwidth storage. so people like video editors (i think?)

the cooler is the same but is just not as asthetically pleasing.

about the RAM, you are still going to have 32GB as these are the exact same as your current kit so you can just ad another 16GB for a total of 32GB (if it aint broke don't fix it?)

The PSU is functionally the exact same, just a cheaper gigabyte PSU instead of corsair

the GPU should be round 20% faster?

if you have some CPU head room then you can instead-
