Hello!

I am looking to get a bit better performance from my PC for gaming - specifically MSFS2020 in VR with the Quest 2. I can run it at Ultimate settings on the monitor, but my system can't handle max settings in VR. It's good, but I'd like to get it better.

I would say that I'm an advanced amateur when it comes to tech issues. I've replaced hard drives, installed new SSD and RAM, and I can usually trouble shoot my own problems, with a little help from Google. But my knowledge is limited, so my question is, can I install a new GPU and up the performance, or will I still bottleneck on the CPU?

Here's my system specs:

Omen Obelisk
DESKTOP-NPL5V0I
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00GHz
32.0 GB (31.9 GB usable)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1661Ti

Thanks in advance!

Your CPU shouldn't be bottlenecking too many modern graphics cards. As long as your case can physically fit a better card inside and your PSU can provide adequate power, you should be good to go.

Thanks. Honestly, I hadn't even considered the power supply. I'll have to check that as well.
