Nvidia 3090 

32 gb ddr4 ram 

 

 

I want to upgrade my cpu cus I bought a 3090 and have strong cpu bottleneck.

I would like to buy a new cpu and mb but I can't figure out what I need so my cpu won't bottleneck.

I'm not so deep in pc building than I was some years ago and would like to get some advice from you guy's.

ok so ignore the deepcool cooler and get the 5800x3d on the b550 tomahawk mobo or get the 12600k on the b660 tomahawk wifi. You choose which one

Id axtually opt for a 13600k and b760.

 

However you'll most likely need to buy extra mounting hardware from nzxt either way because lga 1700 is different

the 13600k only matches the 5800x3d and does so at a MUCH higher package power and higher temperature, i wouldn't do this

Fair enough just keeping options open. The 13600k does do noticeably beter with a 4090 so I am looking ahead 3 years when 4090 performance becomes quite mainstream
