Budget (including currency): 2000€

Country: Bulgaria

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

I would like to be able to play MS Flight Simulator 2020, Forza Horizon 5, CoD Warzone, Elden Ring, Path of Exile, Diablo 2 Ressurected, Latest Total War game, Mount & Blade 2, Fallout 4, Witcher 3 etc. at 1440p, maxed settings at a stable 60+ fps or even better.

On the side I would also like to be able to stream from time to time, since I already do that for my Blood Bowl 2 games. It would be great if I could also be able to stream PoE, Diablo, WoW, or other games I find interesting between BB matches.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I've managed to get myself a second hand 3080 Ti SUPRIM X model and I hope I could pair it up with a 7800x3d when they are available in local stores near me.

I currently have 3 dell 1080p monitors that run @60hz and I'll be looking to get a 120+hz 1440p monitor in order to take advantage of the beefy card I managed to get my hands on. Any advice for the monitor will be appreciated! I guess that flicker free, low responce time and HDR capable are the things I'd like to have, if it is at all possible.

It would be fun if I could keep all four monitors plugged in. I don't know if I need a special case or motherboard for that.

I have no knowledge regarding power supplies, fans, cases, ram or motherboards, so I will need recommendations for all of those.

I would like to be able to get fast ram, at least 32GB of it, a quality power supply (i'd rather spend a bit more and sleep soundly), fans that are as quiet as possible and a case that is easy for cleaning, has good air flow and has a dust filter (the air quality in my area is horrible, so I imagine I'll have to clean it every month or so). I am willing to spend more for quality products that are built to last.

As a side note, it would be great to to have a many USB ports for various devices:

1) keyboard, mouse, controller (currently those 3 run on a single USB hub on my laptop, dunno if that is a good practice)

2) a webcam

3) an external microphone

4) flight stick or racing wheel (probably only one of those connected at a time, since I rarely use the flight stick)

5) external hard drive

6) USB DAC that I use to connect my headphones while using the audio out for my speakers

7) a free port that can be used to connect my phone when I need to transfer lots of files

if you want them all plugged in at the same time with stable gaming frames then i would recommend plugging one into your ipgu from your cpu

Also I have a good build for you (btw don't buy all these parts from amazon.de, only buy it from amazon when its the cheapest on amazon, otherwise buy it on their websites that its the cheapest): https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/kbzk2m

A small built tip be aware that a lot of us have had problems with 4 dims DDR 5.

Go max 2 dims but at least 32 GB of ram combined.

You should go with a seperate usb pcie card.

You should buy this after you figured out what headphones and Mikrofone you are using.

I use the beyerdynamic dt 880 pro.

Those are studio headphones and the Soundblaster gX6

But you might wanna check out someone's streamer hardware for a better recommendation. Because I don't stream.

For point 7 just have a case with front usb.

Quality of life, get a airflow case

Fractal design meshify S2 for example I use it. But right now I would go with the north from fractal design

image.png.abea697d70b618ff131643a9accfa006.png

Go buy some good case fans. A quiet pc is worth a lot.

Just some randoms thought enjoy building your pc 🙂

Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite,  Ryzen 9 3900x, Dark Rock Pro 4, 16 GB Crucial Ballistix  RGB 3600 MHz CL16 RAM, RTX 3080 TI FE Watercooled, 6 Case Fans,  Fractal Design Meshify S2

You are awesome, stay safe and healthy.

For that budget you can get 10 usb ports (e.g. crosshair VIII hero for only 280 euros). But that would be a good alternative yes

the Idea is to get a seperate USB pcie card is because of more USB controllers.

Thank you very much!

Just to be sure, is this 850W PSU enough for the 3080ti suprim? The previous owner warned me that it is very power hungry (I think about 450W according to MSI), so I should make sure to get a good enough PSU.

Another thing to ask is - what kind of tools should I buy in order to be able to assemble the build? I currently only have a fairly big screwdriver which might be a pain in the ass for small spaces. Also, do you suggest any specific brand or model of thermal paste? I don't have any of that as well and I know that I'll need some for the CPU.

What are these problems with 4 dims ddr5? Is it something related only with AMD cpus? Is is something that's expected to be fixed by better drivers in the future?

I use an entry level FiiO dac. I forgot what model it was but it is nothing special. The pc at work used to have a very shit internal sound card, so I just got the cheapest available dac in order to be able to use my headphones. The headphones are BD 990. I also have AT 50x, but prefer the BDs much more.

My microphone is a regular Blue Yeti. Nothing special about the equipment, just decent quality stuff that I've picked up over the years.

So do you think that this " north from fractal design" is better than "Fractal Design Pop Air ATX Mid Tower Case" that's already suggested?
And do you think that "ARCTIC P12 PST 56.3 CFM 120 mm Fans 5-Pack" are a good choice or would you recommend something else?

If you really want to be safe and sleep soundly get a 1000watt psu like the rm1000x. I think it’s only about 30 euros more. For the tools you would need a Philips screwdriver. And if you want a smaller screwdriver check this one in your equivalent country https://www.amazon.co.uk/OX-Screwdriver-Pro-Phillips-Multicolour/dp/B01HSF8NLM/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?crid=3B43XAI06OX0H&keywords=phillips+screwdriver&qid=1681133189&sprefix=phillips+screwdriver%2Caps%2C119&sr=8-8

regarding the thermal paste, arctics max 4 is a very good, cheap but quality thermal paste https://www.amazon.de/MX-4-current-conductivity-resistance-durability/dp/B07LF66ZSV/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=10FMCMZTYGHYI&keywords=arctic+mx+4&qid=1681133328&sprefix=arctic+mx+%2Caps%2C148&sr=8-3

Tbh it’s something with every cpu, sometimes their integrated memory controllers have problems registering the ram modules. I would just go with 2 dimms and there’s not really an easy permanent fix since it’s kind of luck

You cannot get better fans for the price. A five pack of arctics p12s costs as much as 1 nfa 12 from noctua

Go with the north. It’s looks both better and has better cooling performance than the pop air. If it’s around the same price then get the north

Also does this mean there will be less pcie slots for SSDs on the motherboard?

No it won’t affect the performance of the ssd. It’ll just use another PCIe slot
