I'm looking for a gaming laptop for a friend and i found 2 good options(links for them below, ASUS with Ryzen and MSI with intel), here are some points of comparison that i know i should look into, but not sure how to, or i don't understand the practical differences between the 2

first, general information:

1- one of the main games he wants to play is Forza Horizon 5, and maybe cod warzone.

2- MSI option is about 86 dollars cheaper.

3- i would say he is a "normie" , as in he would not complain/tell the difference between 90/160/240 FPS. as long as it is consistent and not dropping frames i think he would be fine

4- if option X is better in aspects that could be upgraded then it's a non issue

here are some comparison points that i would like answered

1- one of them has a 3070 and an intel  i7-12700H. the other is a 3070ti with a Ryzen 7-6800HS. are Ryzen stuff as good/pretty close to intel stuff or not? and even if not close to intel, is it worth getting a 3070ti with Ryzen instead of 3070 with intel?

2- i know i should look into the GPU voltage but idk what is good or bad, or how to compare the current 2 options

3- the Ryzen option has 1TB PCIe SSD while intel has a 512GB NVMe SSD. i know that NVMe is faster, but how faster is it in actual games? also idk how to check if i can put an NVMe in the Ryzen option

4-  performance aside, is there a difference in actual usage between intel and Ryzen CPUs, cuz i know i will be tech support in case anything happens and iv never used Ryzen

is there anything i missed that should be taken in account?

finally , are these 2 options good in the first place? if they are, which would you take?

here are the laptops (nvm availability)

ASUS, with ryzen and 3070ti

edit: the amazon listing for the laptop has changed into a different laptop one, so if you see a 3060 in it then that is not what i was originally looking at. this is what i was looking at:

MSI, with intel and 3070

NVMe SSDs use the PCIe interface for connecting up with your CPU. They're the same, they're just labelled differently on the websites. And you ask how much faster something is and not how faster 😉
